Parish Council Meetings

The Parish Council meets on the third Thursday of each month (except August and December) at 19.30 in the Reading Room. Parishioners are welcome to attend and may speak for a maximum of 5 minutes, during the open session at the beginning of the meeting, whilst they may not take part in the business of the council, standing orders may be dropped to allow discussion to take place.

The Council operates under the Local Government Act 1972, which gives it specific powers to act on certain matters only. Other local government matters, such as holes in the road, or overhanging trees, are dealt with at District (South Hams District Council) or County (Devon County Council) level.

Kingston Recreation Ground is managed through a sub committee.

Details of Councillors and the Parish Clerk are available on our Contact page.

Next meeting is Thursday 18th June at 7.30pm in the Kingston Reading Room.

The agenda for the next meeting will be added 1 week before the scheduled meeting.
