Bantham Swoosh

This year the Swoosh takes place on Saturday 12th July. Road closures from Bantham roundabout to the Sloop will be in place from 0430 please see the Traffic regulation order below.

The nearest shop is Holywell stores 3 miles away in St Ann’s Chapel, or for more variety 5 miles away in Modbury there are lots of shops and 3 pubs.

car charging

Electric car charging is available in Poundwell car park, Modbury. This run by Scottish power via its APP. There are two charging outlets, Type 2 sockets. You need your own lead. These are 22KW outputs and will charge a car from 20% to 80% in 4 hours. You also need to pay a parking charge of £2.90 for 4 hours or £5 from 8am to 6pm.

A fare car is available on Tuesday & Friday, linking with the No3 bus at Modbury for onward travel to Plymouth. Or onwards to Ivybridge, a nominal £3.50 return is charged for this service. This is run by Ivycabs and must be booked the day before Between 8am and 5pm. 01752 895555
